Cover Reveal: THE LIE by Karina Halle @metalblonde
Their love led to a lie.
Their truth led to the end.
Scottish enigma Brigs McGregor is crawling out from the ashes. After losing his wife and son in a car accident - and, subsequently, his job - he's finally moving forward with his life, securing a prestigious teaching position at the University of London and starting a new chapter in the city. Slowly, but surely, he's pushing past the guilt and putting his tragic past behind him.
Until he sees her.
Natasha Trudeau once loved a man so much she thought she'd die without him. But their love was wrong, doomed from the start, and when their world crashed around them, Natasha was nearly buried in the rubble. It took years of moving on to forget him, and now that she's in London, she's ready to start over again.
Until she sees him.
Because some loves are too dangerous to ever rekindle.
And some loves are too powerful to ignore.
Can you ever have a second chance at a love that ruined you?
The Lie is a second-chance romance with a dark, forbidden twist.

Today we have the cover reveal of Submerged by Lacey Black! Grab your copy before it comes out Jan 26th!
One night. That’s all it was supposed to be.
Blake Thomas’ entire career as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation has led up to this one job: submerging himself in a lifestyle of fast cars and even faster women. He’s deep undercover, building a case to bring down an intricate criminal ring of car thieves in Las Vegas, with no time to think about the one woman he can’t seem to forget. He never imagined his past would become tangled with his present, threatening to be his downfall.
Two years ago, Carly Mathewson planned for a one-night stand with a perfect stranger. What she didn't count on was being reminded of him every time she looked into the emerald eyes of the daughter they unexpectedly created. Since that night, she's devoted herself to keeping her life simple. But when her past refuses to stay buried, she's determined to do everything she can to keep it from jeopardizing what she's worked so hard to achieve. Suddenly, everything and everyone Carly has known aren't quite what they seemed.
Every present has a past. Before they can secure a future together, Blake and Carly are forced to admit that their lives are linked by so much more than just that one night. Without warning, they’re bound together for life.

Excerpt
I let Carly lead us into the building and towards the elevator. Once inside, I push her against the wall because the thought of not feeling her body pressed between the wall and my overheated body isn’t an option. I have a good eight or nine inches on her in height, so I lift her gently into my arms, lining up our mouths perfectly. Carly wraps her legs around my waist, her tight black skirt pushed up around her hips until I can feel the heat of her core through our clothes. My entire body feels like the Hulk right now as I fight the urge to rip my clothes clear from my skin with one tear.
The elevator makes the world’s slowest accent upward before eventually depositing us onto her floor. She points without breaking our kiss, and I walk with purpose in that direction unable to set her down. Carly fumbles with the small bag tied around her wrist, dropping keys on the floor at my feet. Her sigh against my lips makes me smile uncontrollably.
“I’ll get ‘em,” I whisper as I bend down, Carly still clamped firmly around my body. I slide the key inside of the knob and give it a turn.
Inside, my entire focus is on the woman wrapped around me. I barely remember locking the door as we shed clothes and shoes on our way down the hallway. When we finally make it to her bedroom, I let her delicious body slide down my own. Not because I want to, but because it’s the only way to rid us of the rest of the clothes we’re wearing.
Before I make a grab for her skirt, I gaze deeply into those intoxicating brown eyes and ask, “Are you sure?” I already know that I am, but I have to make sure she’s one hundred percent on board with what I have planned.
“More sure than anything,” she whispers, eyes all full of lustful innocence.
I step forward and run my hands from her waist up her naked torso. Carly is wearing a black satin bra with white lace trim. It’s a beautiful contradiction of purity and naughty all rolled into this perfect little woman. And as she starts to unzip the zipper on the side of that skirt, I realize with a happy heart that she’s all mine.
For tonight.
Because that’s all I can give her is this one perfect night.

Mia Russo spent ten years working undercover, entrenched in the dregs of society before handing in her shield. Opening her own pawn shop is a piece of cake in comparison. Zeke knows Mia has every right not to trust him. He was the one who chose the next op instead of her. And all he can hope is that somewhere under the snarl and cynicism is a woman who can forgive. Excerpt
She had him pegged for a cop the second he stepped out of the beat-up pickup truck.
He opened the back of the cab and pulled out a cardboard box, maybe a foot long and wide. His worn sneakers scuffed against the graveled parking lot, and even through the surveillance cameras that covered every square inch of her property, she could see the outline of his backup weapon strapped to his ankle.
“Lord, save me from rookies.” Mia stopped processing her inventory to watch him out of curiosity. She’d spent the weekend at an estate sale and ended up with more boxes than she’d planned. That was usually how it went, but she had a knack for things that would sell for a profit.
The guy was tall and thin as a rail, his hair long and shaggy, and he had a partial growth of beard on his face. She could see why they’d want him for undercover work. He had the naturally too-thin build that made him able to pass for a junkie. He was just a baby, maybe a year or two out of the academy, and he had no idea the toll that working undercover would have on his life.
“Get out while you still can, boy.” She shook her head sadly.
There was no warning them—the rookies. They thought working undercover was like it was on TV—sexy and dangerous—living life on the edge between good and evil. And then six months into the job they realized it wasn’t so sexy, but it sure as hell was dangerous. They were lying to spouses and family and friends, living a double life, and they were doing things the soul would never be able to reconcile. All for the greater good.
His jeans and T-shirt looked like he’d gotten them straight from a thrift store and he wasn’t quite comfortable in them. He was used to being pressed and polished. A silver-spoon kid. He’d probably been a patrolman, used to the uniform, and the dead giveaway was the way he kept tapping his elbow against his side, checking for his duty weapon.
He walked like a cop. And his eyes scanned the area like a cop—like he was trying to see where his backup was located just in case he needed a rescue. Surely working undercover hadn’t changed that much in the last ten years. This guy was lucky to be alive if his commander was sending him out with that much green on him.
Mia wasn’t the most patient of people on her best days. And today wasn’t one of her best days.

“Uh, Holly?”
The sound of Ben’s voice from the dressing room stall jarred her from her incessant planning.
“Yes?”
“I’m having a bit of a problem here.”
“What sort of problem?” She stood up, ready to help. “What’s wrong?”
“There’s a thread or something caught in the zipper. I can’t get the pants off.”
She hesitated, resting a hand on the wall of the dressing room. “Do you want me to help?”
“You know, this really isn’t how I envisioned you offering to remove my pants.”
She felt the heat creeping into her cheeks again, torn between the embarrassment of the situation and the thrill of knowing he’d basically just admitted he’d thought about her taking off his pants.
It was a joke. Don’t get too excited.
“Should I go find Marcus?”
“Who’s Marcus?”
“The clerk. That’s what his nametag said, anyway.”
“I should pay more attention to stuff like that.”
“There’s your first lesson in public relations—always look for nametags.” She lowered her voice a little and glanced toward the door. “And based on the attention Marcus was paying to you, I get the sense he wouldn’t mind taking off your pants. What is it with you and sales clerks?”
Ben muttered something unintelligible that was probably some sort of engineering curse. “I’m about five seconds from whipping out my pocket knife and cutting the damn things off my body.”
“Don’t do that! They’re the only pair in your size and they don’t even need to be tailored.”
“I’ve been at this for ten minutes already.”
“Are you sure you’re sliding it the right way?”
“I have a doctorate in engineering,” he muttered. “I’m pretty sure I understand how a zipper works.”
She hesitated at the edge of the dressing room, biting her lip. “Do you want me to try?”

Cover Reveal & Excerpt: STARDUST DESTINY by Nazarea Andrews @NazareaAndrews
Today we are having a cover reveal for Stardust Destiny by Nazarea Andrews. This book will release January 18th. Stardust Destiny is an adult contemporary, and erotic retelling of Helen of Troy and the epic love that started a war.
She isn't mine. But I will damn us both to keep her...
The face that launched a thousand ships...
I grew up knowing my destiny. Daddy pounded it in my head, my brother repeated it every day of my life. I was the only daughter of the Orsi crime syndicate, the pretty prize that would bring peace. My one job was to marry Callum Sheehan, the vicious head of the Irish mob in Chicago.
I never questioned my future–until I saw him.
The man who was never meant to love her…
I wasn’t going to the wedding. It’s shit that my brother does, things our father requires of the heir of the Sosa cartel. Not me. I’m the black sheep, the one Mama spoiled, and my father loves, but without the pressure of expectation. But Sheehan is too big a deal for me to blow off.
And then I see her.
The love that started a war…
She isn’t mine. She will never be mine. I watch her fall apart when she thinks no one is watching. I watch her marry another man. I watch her bravery. And I don’t care who she belongs to or that it will start a war between our families.
I will damn us both to possess her, and burn down the world to keep her.
A modern erotic retelling of Helen of Troy, and the epic love that brought an empire to its knees.

I step onto the roof, and pull out a cigarette. The sun has dropped, and the wind is ripping along, and even in the middle of summer, it’s cold.
“Fuck,” I mutter, trying to light the damn cigarette.
A dainty hand reaches out and lifts a lit cherry to my cigarette and I pull on it, smiling my thanks when it catches and nicotine and smoke flood my lungs.
I grin down at her, and freeze.
The girl in front of me is gorgeous.
Not the typical beauty that I fall into bed with so often. She’s small, almost a head shorter than me, with delectable curves, and sun-warm skin that begs to be touched. Long golden brown hair tumbles to the middle of her back, loose, wind tousled curls.
But it’s her little smirk, and her eyes. Ancient and wide, the deep blue of the ocean when the water is getting deep and dangerous and just as secretive, as she grins at me, and lifts that half smoked cigarette.
Her lips hold it in place as she pulls her hair back in a loose, messy pony tail and I want to feel them. Taste her lips.
“Didn’t think anyone else was stupid enough to come up here. It’s called the windy city for a reason,” she says, and I blink at her.
“You’re out here.” I point out. She shrugs and makes a tiny face, all wrinkled nose and scrunched eyes. It’s not the kind of calculated sexy pout so many girls practice. It’s too goofy to be anything but real, and I’m fascinated that any girl could be so fucking goofy without worrying about the effect it has on her chances of landing in my bed.
“I’m crazy. Obviously,” she says, deadpan, and I laugh, a startled noise. She grins and turns away, lifting her cigarette again. I watch her sidelong as we smoke and she stares out at the other buildings.
“You know it’s creeper behavior to stare, right?” she says, a smile in her voice.
I grin, “Maybe. But when you run into a crazy girl on the roof with a lighter, she deserves a few extra glances.”
Her gaze turns severe. “Don’t flirt, smoker boy. Just smoke your cigarette and be good company like a nice boy.”
“Ah, but that’s your mistake.” I say, smiling and prowling closer to her. What is?”
“You think I’m a nice boy.” I murmur and her breath hitches. Her eyes are wide as I drop my cigarette and put it out with my shoe, and I can see the frantic pound of her pulse in the hollow of her throat. She’s leaning against the half wall that surrounds the roof, and I have the insane urge to press her into it, lean her over it and kiss her senseless.
I blink, and step back. “Why are you here?” I ask.
She lets out a breath I didn’t realize she was holding and wilts with disappointment. She takes the final drag of her cigarette and tosses it over the side of the roof. “Family business,” she says tightly and gives me one more devastating smile before she slides past me and pushes open the door. She glances back at me, and there it is. The coy smile. The one that is all sex and promises. “Stay out of trouble, nice boy.”
